What is a Catrina portrait?
Catrina-inspired portraits use decorative skeletal face paint and flowers associated with Mexico’s Día de Muertos tradition. This tool requests a dignified photographic interpretation with cosmetic makeup rather than wounds or horror effects.
What photo should I upload?
Upload one clear adult portrait you have permission to edit. A front-facing or slightly turned head, even light and visible eyes help provide a usable reference. Groups, covered faces and strong beauty filters can make the result less consistent.
What changes with each style?
Half-Face Paint requests decoration on one facial half only. Full Makeup requests an ivory cosmetic layer and floral linework across the face. Floral Crown Portrait uses lighter makeup with a larger flower crown. All three can change the clothing, flowers and background.
Will it keep my face and skin tone?
The presets ask the model to preserve your identity, age, skin tone, ethnicity and facial structure. AI can still alter those details, so review the result. Page language changes our example portrait only; it never changes the identity instructions for your uploaded photo.
What does it cost and what can I download?
The Generate button shows the current credit cost before submission. You need to sign in with sufficient credits. Each generation requests one 3:4, 1K PNG image through Nano Banana Pro. Review completed images in the result panel. Full-resolution downloads without a watermark require paid access. When enabled, the download dialog offers a free 512px watermarked preview. Generation credits and download access are separate.
